The Cormack brothers grew up in a small town–Herschel– in Saskatchewan. Symbolizing to them a place of creative freedom and no boundaries, they decided to name the company after their small town–Herschel Supply Co. was founded in 2009. The brothers set out to create backpacks that combined classic aesthetic with modern functionality. We believe they accomplished just that.

Their backpacks marry vintage-inspired designs with thoughtful features, making them a favorite of students and adventurers alike. I absolutely adore my Herschel backpack. I’ve had my backpack since I started college, two and a half years ago, and it has yet to let me down. I should also note Herschel Supply Co. does not just sell backpacks. Among other things, they sell laptop cases, travel luggage, duffel bags, totes, etc. . .

 Its vintage style suits both guys and girls and its functionality is top notch–built in pouches inside the backpack and useful pockets outside, that do not look bulky or ruin the design of the backpack. I’ve spilled things all over my backpack (even inside of it…somehow I manage to make a mess of everything) and it comes clean every single time. I’ve roughly lugged it in and out of classrooms, taken it on road trips, just really used it, and it is still going strong. No signs of wear and tear whatsoever. Even if something was wrong with my Herschel backpack, though, I wouldn’t have to worry. Herschel guarantees that every Herschel Supply item is free of material and manufacturing defects. “This warranty is valid for the duration of the original purchaser’s lifetime, beginning on the date of purchase from an authorized Herschel Supply retailer. . .” While this is technically a limited lifetime warranty considering the warranty does not cover wear and tear caused by the owner, it is still a considerably exceptional warranty. If you find that your product has a material or manufacturing defect, Herschel will replace or repair the item at their discretion. This policy is different for their hard shell luggage, however.

Overall, Herschel is a win-win in our books. Herschel supply products are not only stylish and functional, but they are backed by a lifetime warranty. Whether you’re navigating the city streets, scurrying around a college campus, or simply embarking on a new adventure, Herschel has got your back.

Darn Tough Vermont

HexClad cookware is claimed to have the “performance of stainless steel, the durability of cast iron, and the convenience of nonstick” This makes for easy care (oven/metal utensil safe) and easy cleaning (dishwasher safe). Even pro chef Gordon Ramsay approves of these pans; “The sear I can get with these pans is incredible, with absolutely no stick. The temperature control is utter perfection, and the clean-up is effortless.” Now, if Gordon Ramsay approves, how can you not?

All-Clad was founded in 1967 by metallurgist John Ulam. Ulam’s vision brought forth a line of stainless steel cookware that blended innovative technology with traditional craftsmanship. All-Clad cookware is crafted through a meticulous process that involves bonding multiple layers of metals to harness the distinct properties of each. This allows for even heat distribution, and therefore, even cooking. 

Growing up, I helped my mom in the kitchen. . .a lot. I loved being her helper and as I got older I developed a deep passion for cooking and baking. As my mom started to get more into cooking as well, she decided to invest in All-Clad pans. We had a few small All-Clad saucepans already and loved them. One All-Clad saucepan we’ve had for over ten years still works like new!

All the All-Clad pans we’ve purchased have yet to disappoint us. They make cooking a joy and they clean up beautifully. One of our stainless steel All-clad pans was starting to get scratched up a bit. With a little bit of Bars powder and elbow grease, it came out looking brand new.

Hydro Flask

Everyone can use a nice quality water bottle. Hydro Flask bottles are some of the best bottles on the market. My Hydro Flask has accompanied me on hiking adventures and pool days for several years now and has yet to have issues with leaking or insulation. 

Hydro Flask claims that their bottles are the “best double-wall vacuum-insulated bottles available.” I don’t think this is an overstatement. They are insulated with stainless steel and come in a variety of different colors and styles. They have insulated tumblers, travel tumblers, mugs, flex straw water bottles, wide mouth water bottles, etc… about any type of flask you could ever need or want. 

What makes these bottles even more amazing is that they come with a lifetime warranty. Of course, this warranty does not cover ordinary wear and tear. This includes “dents, scratches, powder coat chips from the flask being dropped or damaged, etc.” However, the warranty does cover broken/leaking caps, lack of insulation, damages due to shipping, uneven welding on rim of the flaks, rattling flasks, etc. Get a Hydro Flask and be at peace while you sip your drink, knowing your bottle is covered by a lifetime warranty.
